This is always a heartwarming event which gives everyone a chance to meet and hear the outstanding students' stories. Everyone who attends comes away impressed!

Illinois Club and OLLI members will be provided a tour of the LEED-certified building, including an overview of features which will soon result in WELL Platinum designation. This building offers both a look forward and back (old Illio yearbooks!) on the University.

The group will walk throughout the three-story facility (elevators available) with a staff guide.

The Philanthropy Center is at the southwest corner of St. Mary's Road and 4th Street, Champaign. The event begins at 1:30 PM and will last approximately one hour. Parking is available in the southeast lot of State Farm Center, with an entrance off Fourth Street . For those needing accessible parking, there are spaces available by the Center.

The tour is approximately one hour. There is a limit of 20.

Parking is available at the street meters located on W Clark St (north of the building), W Main St (south of the building) and N Harvey St (east of the parking lot behind the building). Please do not park in the parking lot behind the building. The parking lot is by permit only and you may be ticketed for not having a permit. Being on the edge of campus, it is generally pretty easy to find street parking at the meters.

Spurlock Museum Tour

The tour includes the Farm Aid exhibit and info about other parts of the museum.

Spurlock is located at 600 S. Gregory St. in Urbana, Illinois, on the corner of Gregory and Oregon streets, just east of the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.

Parking

Metered spaces managed by the University and the City of Urbana are available on the streets surrounding the Museum and in designated areas within the parking lot adjacent to the Museum on Oregon Street. There are a small number of metered spaces for handicapped parking permits.

The University has removed physical meters. Instead, you will find bright orange Pay By App only signage marking spaces available to everyone. There are three apps to use: MobileMeter, ParkMobile, and PayByPhone. If you do not have a smartphone, you can dial (217) 207-3033 to pay over the phone. City of Urbana meters on nearby streets continue to be available.

Amish Heritage Center

Illinois Club has arranged a tour of the Amish Heritage Center in Arthur at 10 AM on Friday, October 10. The Heritage Center has several typical Amish houses and a school house to tour with docents. There is also an event called "Harvest to Home" that day where vendors come and food is available for purchase. The cost of entry is $10/person and will be collected at the entry gate of the parking lot. A guide will walk the group between the buildings. Most buildings are accessible, and there is accessible parking available also.

Amish Heritage Center (Illinoisamish.org) is on Highway 133 near Arcola, 48 miles from Urbana, Carpooling is encouraged.
